Wah. So free now, lemme now start blogging about my Thailand Chiangmai trip in detail, day by day, muahaha. It's like finally found the time to pen everything down.

I like to pen memories down, every single puny lil bit details of it,,,becuz I can forget really easily... =X

Alright, the day we left Singapore, Xinyi's dad took us to the airport. HOHO.

Anyways,
I was feeling a bit apprehensive due to the complicated visa issues.

GEEZ,
I was like very pessimistically thinking of the worst possible scenario:

I cannot get my landing visa done,
then my return flight is 9 days later... So meanwhile I have to entertain myself at the airport, like Tom Hanks in The Terminal. How tragedic. GEEZ.

But another part of me was also thinking,

WOW that'd be SOME experience that I could really live with in my life,
so cool la! =Pp

Anyways HENGGG it was done babaye~

Then hor,
I figured that one thing that I never quite say,
but I was really pretty touched by and appreciated a lot,,,

is the fact that people really waited on one another,

and then Yan Ying and Xin Ying were like constantly taking care of my luggage for me.

It was like sososo OMIGOSH!!!

I mean maybe it's just a minor thing (omg I sound like SOME girl band with 3 members... XDD)... And like ultra insignificant to people, like they just do it automatically. To me it's quite a deal ehhh, cuz I'm an only child, I guess.

Then I'm just used to everyone taking care of their own business. =Pp

HMMMMM but really leh,

one very very essential thing I totally love the OCIP trip is the TEAM spirit.

I mean like I say mah,
I'm seriously not a people person,

but then in this camp anyone can just get on fine with anyone else,
you can just crack jokes with anyone. That's like cool daooo and I love that sort of feel of some ultra big family, becuz I think that if you just stick yourself to your small intimate circles you are not really getting the most out of life,,,because the more people you have in your life, the more FUNness you're gonna get.

That's what I think la HAHA.

I like it when different sorts of chemistry fizzle and sizzle among different combis of people.

YEAHHH so on our way there right,

I kind of kept on looking about on the plane neh.

HARDLY ever went on a plane mahhh,
that looking down on the world as if it's some miniature model is simply AMAZING.

And we took some photos while flying! WOO!!!

---

Alright,

then we touched down.

I settled my stuffs,
and The People People gave us garlands.

They smell nice! =Pp

Then a bus ride,
omg lao niang SORANG siaaa but whateverrr eh.

HAHA! =Pp

OKIES,

then we checked in at International Centre!

Did some stuffs,
got introduced to the Thai culture,

played some games, etc.

And then the Thai girls started streaming in.

JESEUS I think this must be the N-th time I'm saying this,
they were all in their traditional costumes looking so gentle so demure they look so uniform all so un-fun to me, so I was like omg! to myself,

and thinking abt oh my holy jeseus how are we gonna spend the rest of the days together?

I can't stand it when a bunch of teenagers are really polite to each another,
use formalities in speech...etc. It's like so EEW, un-fun, OKAY.

Anyways so seriously I don't have any special thoughts on anyone the first day, HMMHMM.

Maybe except that I remembered Ham more,
cuz I sat beside her once during one of the games then she was like asking me for my name...

Somemore I thought she looked like the ELDEST of the group. GEEZ.

Speaking of names,

that entire day I was like going HELLO My name is Enjiao, but you can call me Ernie also... WAH dunno repeat for how many gazillion times leh. Then somemore they further simplified it to ERN only norrr. (u)

Blah blah,

and all I remembered of the Thai girls was Pear Pink Pum Pang Fah Ham, geez.

Reciting their names together quickly almost sounds like a tongue-twister or something.

Anyways,
then on the first day right,

those ultra stranger-friendly people were like happily chatting the Thai people up already.

I think I was just observing la,
and just picking up a few phrases in Thai, which I personally would love to learn of in every human language... For example "Shut up". HAHAHA.

So the first day was seriously so so lor. If you ask me.

Cuz everything's like so entirely foreign,
I was still taking in my surroundings and adjusting myself accordingly.

Then the first day is really seriously the most polite day of my life I guess.

What with them bombarding us with all the Thai customs on the first day already... @@

Then there was introduction of teams already,
and English Camp presentation. Blahblah.

WAHHH when I first got into my team and saw our 2 foreign team mates hor,
I was like seriously feeling like I'm in holy deep shit inside lar. OK that was exaggerating. But for the first day I just simply felt like, I didn't think anything great's gonna come out of it.

As in,
I think it's really fundamentally human for people to start talking to strangers, out of courteousy at all, but I was just a bit skeptical about whether a really meaningful relationship will grow out of it; rather than a mere superficial aquaintance. Told cha I'm not a people person. =Pp

Anyways so that was that lor,

I'd say I didn't even make any special efforts to engage any of the Thai girls in conversation in the first day because I simply felt like,
oh my jeseus how are we supposed to get along? Like are there anything interesting we can talk abt except those really stupid cliche typical conversation starters which I so despite? LOLLL

Then we changed into Thai traditional costume and went for some Khamtop (spelling?) dinner.

YUMYUM I love the food.

The place was ULTRAAA chio.

And all the waiters were like ULTRAAAAA chio.

So I just kept on looking around as shamelessly as I could,
DEVOURING the beauty of the place with my eyes; constantly exclaiming omg how come there are so many chio bus, no yan daos!?!?!?...

I found the cultural performance REALLY interesting at first.

But EVENTUALLY,
I switched off. So do lots of others. GEEZ. =Pp

And then we let off those KONG MING DENGs ahhh,
and walked around the perimeter a bit. Not bad ahhh.

Chiangmai at night is really pretty dark and really pretty quiet in comparison to Singapore.

I thought Singapore had a sucky night life enough already,
but for Chiangmai it almost seemed as if it's non-existent.

Therefore on the first night,,,
already I knew myself that I so cannot live in this place as a citizen.

Then at night I slept soundly...

WHEW lemme regain my breath,
rest my arms first before I start on the 2nd day. HEEHEE.

That's abt all I can think of for the first day,
for now.

Basically the main point is that first impressions can be so wrong,
and I'm so glad I don't act like the first-day throughout the trip, becuz that is so un-fun, so un-me. =Pp

I love music!
