anyways i currently reading plato, not prozac! neh!
some book about philosophical conselling
i didnt know lar
but
jiu cool daoooo
i think philosophical counselling is lyk so much more better than psychological and psychiatry counselling and stuff
because those 2 tends to treat the individual as a diseased person or something
and that's like, eew.
jiu not bad larrrrrrrr
i think the greatest challenge is to clearly identify your own underlying philosophy
then analysing your problems and stuff and trying to see if you are acting in accordance wif ur principles. =Pp
i think the philosopher that echoes most of my thoughts is Friedrich Wilhelm Nietzsche
first of all,
In his book the Anti-Christ, Nietzsche fights against how Christianity has become an ideology set forth by institutions like churches, and how churches have failed to represent the life of Jesus. Nietzsche finds it important to distinguish between the religion of Christianity and the person of Jesus.i kind of believe in existenialism too,
the key idea being that
existence is empty, null, void, meaningless.
Existentialism is a philosophical movement that is generally considered a study that pursues meaning in existence and seeks value for the existing individual. How did I get into the world? Why was I not asked about it, why was I not informed of the rules and regulations but just thrust into the ranks as if I had been bought by a peddling shanghaier of human beings? How did I get involved in this big enterprise called actuality? Why should I be involved? Isn't it a matter of choice? And if I am compelled to be involved, where is the manager—I have something to say about this. Is there no manager? To whom shall I make my complaint? [3]-thrown into existence...
and nietzsche is the one whose thoughts laid the foundation for existenalism.
his ideas, at the time, come across asreally controverial and stuff. such that the nazis used his philosophy for their own use. extremity.
but like the guy said,
任何偉大都會被誤解。
some cool quotes
philosophy bites =Pp
God is dead. God remains dead. And we have killed him. How shall we, murderers of all murderers, console ourselves? That which was the holiest and mightiest of all that the world has yet possessed has bled to death under our knives. Who will wipe this blood off us? With what water could we purify ourselves? What festivals of atonement, what sacred games shall we need to invent? Is not the greatness of this deed too great for us? Must we not ourselves become gods simply to be worthy of it?
— Nietzsche, The Gay Science, Section 125, tr. Walter KaufmannI really like his
"Whateever does not kill me outright,
makes me stronger" as well HOHOHO
then there's his idea of every1 should striving to be above average, to be their best.
he's like a german as well lar.
hmm,
just feel like i've got all these hidden affinitions to this guy =Pp
alright
then the book
right
on the section on family
i think there's this part that's really coo l lar
"Your children are not your children. They are the sons and daughters of Life's longing for itself. They come through you but not from you,and though theuy are with you yet they belong not to you.You may give them your love but not your thoughts, for they have their own thoughts. You may house their bodies but not their souls, for their souls dwell in the house of tomorrow, which you cannot visit, not even in your dreams. You may strive to be like them, but seek not to make them like you.from - Kahlil Gibran.
What the best parents can do to encourage ultimate fulfillment for their children is to alllow them room to become self-reliant as they grow.HOW TRUE.
